Festival Wedding // Louise & Steven

I’m finally getting around to blogging! I thought I’d start with one of our biggest highlights from last year – Wedfest!
When Louise booked us and she told me they were planning a festival themed wedding in a field near by I’m pretty sure I danced around with excitement. It’s like a combination of all the greatest things…music…being outdoors…and a couple in love!

Louise and Steven were childhood sweethearts, as folk say, and have two boys that were their ring bearers on the day. They had always known they wanted to get married on a cousins farm and once they were engaged everything fell into place. They didn’t want a long engagement so all the planning was done in 8 months.

Steven, co-owner of Bars r Us, just happened to buy a ‘tent’, as they call it, that year. So they had their field and their marquee (and the drinks) sorted.

It was beyond personal touches, the whole day was filled to the brim with things they liked and enjoyed. The wonderful ceremony, dodging rain by half an hour, was completed with Steven’s sisters singing and playing the guitar.

As the sun set they lit a huge bonfire and guests sat around it on couches! and hay bales.

They cut their amazing cake, then were serenaded by the coolest busker for the first dance under purple skies.

A perfect wedding.
